Calling all Georgia Voters

If you (or someone you know) vote in Georgia and want federal farm policy to prioritize plant-based foods for humans, then please sign your name to AFA’s letter that asks Senator Raphael Warnock to introduce legislation that will help farmers transition to producing these foods. Black, Indigenous, and Socially Disadvantaged farmers will be first in line.

This will take just a minute…

Check out the recent WRFG Atlanta interview where AFA CEO Laura Reese explains the importance of this legislation.

Reasons for FARMS legislation

  1. Sustainability for climate actionAdopting plant-rich diets is a leading solution to draw down carbon in our atmosphere.
  2. Public health.Americans eat only half the dietary fiber they need. AFA is calling on federal farm policymakers to prioritize fiber-rich foods in farm programs.
  3. Food security. Not all Americans have access to nutritious, fiber-rich plant foods. FARMS will empower local producers to address these needs while making the overall food system more resilient in the face of global supply disruptions.
